Dr. Haldia is the former MD and CEO of PTC India Financial Services Ltd (PFS) , an infrastructure financial institution. He pioneered financing of renewable power projects . He was also Secretary of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and led its transformation at national and international level for more than 10 years. Dr Haldia was also a member of Appellate Tribunal for ICAI,ICSI,ICWAI and of National Advisory Committee on Accounting Standards and member of Accounting Standards Board and Auditing and Assurance Standards Board.
In his earlier roles, Dr. Haldia has been with Power Finance Corporation with responsibilities for pursuing reforms in state power utilities linked to World bank/ ADB line of credit and with the Government of Rajasthan for reforms and management of state enterprises.
He was/has been on more than 20 committees appointed by Government of India, State Government, ICAI, chamber of commerce and many international bodies and is currently an advisor on various matters with boards and committees of IFAC, SAFA,CAPA,ICAI, CII and ASSOCHAM. He was also member of UNCTAD group on model corporate governance and member of governing board of NFCG.
He is also Chairman of governing board of IIIPI ,an independent professional and associated with, IMT Ghaziabad ,SAFIM, and Start UPS.
He has contributed number of article in national financial dailies , national and international conferences and seminar.
